There maybe a mod somewhere that gives you more options. 1st thing to do is open diplomacy and give 200 to make as many possible relations as You can, and check your objectives for several free thousands for bs tasks like having a defensive alliance! If u use diplomacy the first 5 turns just trying to play united nations you will very quickly hold a trade empire and most other people will even hand u back a couple hundred gold at a time just for being happy with you.You can ask/bribe them to join a war against your enemies or offer to declare war against theirs, but you can't incite them to attack a neutral or non-beligerent faction. Good luck mate!Īlso if ur finding u don’t have enough cash you are doing something wrong on Turn one. Ps the only mechanic I don’t pay attention to is the family traits, no matter their disposition Or biases the other mechanics more than cover. The way Raven wolf is describing is the sure fire way to lead to A civil war, and make you change from democracy to dictator so it’s the players decision if they want to change governments. lastly if a family member (even yours) gets sooooo powerful your family is gaining power too quickly and pissing off other fams, you must either send the gen into battle as suicide (alone usually) assassinate him, or try and change government to empire. Not only this, there is a small chance of a random event like the faction you visit giving you one of their cities, or becoming a client state. the most OVERLOOKED mechanic in campaigning is the options to send rival party members on diplomatic missions (usually the wives), these will add diplomatic bonuses to neighbors allowing u to secure agreements easier on Legendary AND give the family a substantial (I think +10) loyalty.Promoting getting expensive? Not enough family members? Arrange marriages for their single family members for another Free promotion and +2 loyalty. If an event occurs that gives u -10 loyalty you can temporarily sate them while u work to promote their families members with an “appease family“ option I believe it’s called. (A civil war isn’t possible unless a families loyalty is -10 or worse) if you see disloyalty brewing more than -8 u want to promote members of that family, this will add +2 loyalty. there are several ways to keep loyalty above the minimum to trigger civil war.on the map an option of view is the “family ownership” tab this will help you to make sure the first city you capture in a new province is of a DIFFERENT family, this is Vital as the province will go to the first families general to conquer a city. You want to keep power relatively even between the families. House power will take a massive rise for the leading genreal that takes a city or wins a battle. You want your families General to capture the first settlement then the Next houses. use generals to lead armies from Every house in your faction.I get through every legendary campaign without a single civil war by using the mechanics correctly, I’ll describe. These other posters don’t know how the system works correctly, sorry, no offense. So I’ve written a response to this so many times I copy paste it now, but hopefully it still helps.
